My Identity

Hey Bloggies!

As part of our inquiry, we made a slide explaining our background and a family tree. I researched my family history and used that to create my slide.

Here it is!

It explains where my parents and grandparents are from, and my family tree includes grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins as well as me and my sister.
Please note that when I made this post we were still working on our slides

Character Conundrum

Hey Bloggies!

Back at it again! This time with a literacy challenge that Mr Shaw set. We were given the task of creating a character based off a name we picked, and putting it onto a slide.

My characters name was Ayla Poof and this is what I came up with.

She's a resourceful flat earther whose hair you could spot from a mile away. You can see that she's a bit of a rough one because when she was raided by Yoda she threw him right out. Buuuuut if you do need something, its good to be her friend because she is a market trader who has a good reputation in the business.

Captivating Conversations

Hey Bloggies!

This term for inquiry we are doing a thing on relationships and lately we have been focusing on conversations and how to make yours better. We were given a challenge to complete around 10 ways to have a better conversations by Celeste Headlee. we were making animations on google slides that show those ways to have better conversations. I made mine with Zara.

Here it is!

It details and shows all the 10 ways to have a better conversation and shows a mother, a child and a granny having a conversation.

Beaming Bar Graphs

Hey Bloggies!

We started the numeracy programme doing something I thought was easy... Bar graphs. I started doing it and it seemed like it was going well, but when I finished it, it looked like it had been run over by a car!

here's my first attempt...

As you can see, it does not fit the checklist for good bar graphs at the bottom and it looks a little sloppy. after seeing the checklist we made another one to fit it.

This is my second attempt.

This one looks WAY better and displays the data in an easy to read way and looks WAY tidier than the first one.

My Perfect Portrait

Hey Bloggies!

Welcome to my student blog and my first post!
It's the start of the year which is when teachers decide to make us draw our faces based off the style of a famous artists style. This year we based our portrait style on Romero Britto, a Brazilian artist who has done lots of portraits of extremely famous people eg. Princess Diana and Elton John.

I'm not that good at drawing faces, but by using what the teachers told us and a bit of trial and error, I managed to make a bright and colourful piece of artwork that represents me and what I love.

Well, here goes nothing.

As you can see, I am from NZ, I love biking, I love to tramp, I love Irish dancing, I love to read and I love my family.

What would you put on yours if you made one?

See ya soon!
