Keeping Ourselves safe

 Hey Bloggers!

On Wednesdays, Toroa hub has a technology day where we go to Christchurch east school and use their technology centre. Half of the hub goes in the morning and the other half goes in the afternoon, so in the half of the day where we are at the hub, we do a different subject which changes sometimes throughout the year. This term, we have started doing a bit of work around keeping ourselves safe and our task for the last two weeks was to create a poster about what options we have in different scenarios and what consequences each of those options would have. I decided that my scenario was that you are home alone and someone you don't know is trying to get into your house. I put two options of what to do and two consequences for each as well as what I think the safest option is at the bottom of the poster

I hope you enjoyed my poster and my blog post and thought about the poster and what you think the safest option is.

Bye!

All about me and LEGO portraits!

 Hey Bloggers!

Obviously not everyone in our hub knows each other, so the teachers set us a task to help with that. we were given a task to create an "all about me" video using canva to introduce ourselves a little bit. we were told to include some information and some photos and we used some of the premade templates on canva.

Here's mine:

I hope you enjoyed my video and learned something new about me!

We were also set a task earlier in the week to create a self-portrait that looks like a LEGO character. we were given an outline and some ideas for hair and facial expressions.i found the hair the trickiest to get right, but i figured it out in the end!

Here is my LEGO portrait:

I hope you enjoyed reading my post and learned something about me!

Bye!

My 2021 Pepeha!

 Hey Bloggers!

Every year we spend a little bit of time creating ourselves a pepeha. This year we were also set a task to turn them into voiced-over videos. We included our mountains, our rivers, our iwis, where our ancestors are from, our parents, our siblings, our names, and where we live. we also had to include photos to go along with each part.

Here it is:

As you can see, my mountain is mount Te Kinga, my river/body of water is kotukuwhakaoa (Lake Brunner) and I have, me, my sister and my parents in my family.

Bye!
